I walked for a long time through a nameless desert. My body is exhausted, I am not going to resist much. Suddenly, in the middle of the procession of the sand faces that I saw thousands of times, you appear. I try to speak, but no sound comes from my mouth, dry as the desert that I am fighting. I have been waiting so long for this moment, and now I cannot make a sound. But when I am about to scream, a deaf scream that I will only hear inside my head, the words I cannot say surround you, like a wind, a dance made of sand embracing and holding us tight to each other. We don't need to walk anymore, this wind will take us over the horizon, in a place where we have never been, but that we perfectly know.

Ho camminato a lungo in un deserto senza nome. Il mio corpo è provato, non potrò andare avanti ancora per molto. E all’improvviso, nella processione dei volti di sabbia che vedo passare per la millesima volta, mi appari tu. Provo a parlarti ma nessun suono esce dalla mia bocca, arida come il deserto che sto combattendo. Ho aspettato tanto questo incontro, e ora non riesco a pronunciare nessun suono. Ma quando sono sul punto di gridare, un grido sordo che sentirò solo nel mio cervello, le parole che non riesco a dirti ti circondano, come un vento, una danza di sabbia che ci avvolge e ci stringe l’uno all’altro. Non abbiamo più bisogno di camminare, questo vento ci porterà oltre l’orizzonte, in un luogo dove non siamo mai stati, ma che conosciamo benissimo.
