There is a person, standing still in a spot, a round spot, opened to every possibility, looking all around himself. Around him there are memories, bits of people, pieces of wood and strings to bind the memory. There are words, laying on the ground, letters as big as trunks, shrubs of vowels forming bushes. All around him there is all the space he left behind, everything he went through. If he moves his feet and looks ahead, he sees one thing: the sharp line of the horizon. Though trying, he cannot see its end. So he turns once again to look at the fragments, to look at the bits on the ground, still, trying to carve his soul again with the enormous letters, with those pieces of wood, that are rough, wet, dry smooth memories. With the corner of his eyes he looks for the horizontal limit of the world, in front of him, He stands still and doesn't make a move forwards or backwards. He embraces the limit of the place where he is. Imperfect, he hans between every place and no place. He carries a soaked melancholy on him, simple and deep in some way: wonderful. And he realizes he is moving.

C’è una persona che sta ferma in un punto, un punto rotondo, che si apre a tutto il possibile, che guarda tutto quanto attorno.
Attorno ci sono sparsi ricordi, ci sono sparsi assaggi di persone, pezzetti di legno e spago a legare la memoria.
Ci sono parole distese a terra, lettere grandi come tronchi, arbusti di vocali a formare cespugli.
Attorno c’è tutto lo spazio lasciato indietro, quel che ha percorso.
Se ruota i piedi e guarda avanti c’è una cosa che osserva: la linea pungente dell’orizzonte.
Benché si sforzi, non riesce a vederne la fine.
E allora si volta, a riguardare i cocci, a riguardare gli assaggi a terra, immobile, a cercare di nuovo di scolpirsi l’anima con quelle lettere enormi, con quei pezzi di legno che sono ricordi ruvidi, bagnati, secchi, levigati.
Con la coda dell’occhio cerca il finale orizzontale del mondo, davanti a sé.
Rimane fermo e non fa un passo, né avanti né indietro.
Abbraccia il limite del posto in cui si trova.
Imperfetto, rimane in bilico tra tutti i posti e nessun posto.
Addosso porta madida malinconia, semplice, profonda. A suo modo: bellissima.
E capisce che si sta muovendo.
