In the darkness with no memory of the abyss, the night lies down and sinks. The freezing and silent sea falls in love with the light and movement, when its song spreads all over the endless spaces. You look at the sky, with that endless melody flowing inside you, like the breath of an enormous supine Being. It looks like it's asking: - When will you accept my call? -

A man runs, trying to reach the limit of the place where he is. Although struggling, slower or faster, turning right or left, he cannot reach any place. There is no shadow to orient himself, and no sun to observe, He's scared of closing his eyes, not to lose any sign or indication. He keeps on running, almost without energy. And suddenly he collapses, falls on his knees and surrenders, closes his eyes and lies on the ground. And from the darkness of his closed eyes, a germination of lights patterns the sky and draws its sense.

A man and a woman are alone in a big archive. Every room is full of shelves. It's almost night. They try but cannot reach each other. By doing it, they would discover they have a body, and that everything adapts and consumes. They cannot speak but they give signals. Tehy take books from the shelves and leave them open on the ground. Every page contains photo and data. In the pages they choose, they try to look each other in the eyes, but any time they have a different face, a different story, a different name. Any time, in every book, they meet for the first time. They tell each other, are amazed and get angry, they come closer and miss each other. In this way, through other people, they love, like angels. Without existing. Senza esistere.

I close my eyes and start to dream... That every face I met and everything my hands have known get on that carousel that makes them go around and puts them in front of each other. On that same carousel, I open my eyes and start to dream...

There is a place where everything happens: people embracing, cities burning, deserts moving and glances stopping. Inside that place every disgrace happens, like the poorest thing; the most epiphanic encounters take place there, coincidences are resolved and dialogues are carved in silence. In that place everything happens, and also the last event will. It is that elusive and infinite space separating the paths of everyone and then bringing them near, laughing at the way you can walk the same steps without ever meeting. Time, it's the empty space we breath while waiting to be the last ones.

There is a person, standing still in a spot, a round spot, opened to every possibility, looking all around himself. Around him there are memories, bits of people, pieces of wood and strings to bind the memory. There are words, laying on the ground, letters as big as trunks, shrubs of vowels forming bushes. All around him there is all the space he left behind, everything he went through. If he moves his feet and looks ahead, he sees one thing: the sharp line of the horizon. Though trying, he cannot see its end. So he turns once again to look at the fragments, to look at the bits on the ground, still, trying to carve his soul again with the enormous letters, with those pieces of wood, that are rough, wet, dry smooth memories. With the corner of his eyes he looks for the horizontal limit of the world, in front of him, He stands still and doesn't make a move forwards or backwards. He embraces the limit of the place where he is. Imperfect, he hans between every place and no place. He carries a soaked melancholy on him, simple and deep in some way: wonderful. And he realizes he is moving. Addosso porta madida malinconia, semplice, profonda. A suo modo: bellissima. E capisce che si sta muovendo.

When we arrived at the end of what we knew, we found an enchanted garden. Memories and images of the future where flourishing there. At the end of the path there was a nest of roses and above it was the source of the rainbow we were following from the beginning. We glanced a each other with tears in our eyes. The fate decided that that garden had to be at the end of our journey. What we were seeing was just ourselves.

I walked for a long time through a nameless desert. My body is exhausted, I am not going to resist much. Suddenly, in the middle of the procession of the sand faces that I saw thousands of times, you appear. I try to speak, but no sound comes from my mouth, dry as the desert that I am fighting. I have been waiting so long for this moment, and now I cannot make a sound. But when I am about to scream, a deaf scream that I will only hear inside my head, the words I cannot say surround you, like a wind, a dance made of sand embracing and holding us tight to each other. We don't need to walk anymore, this wind will take us over the horizon, in a place where we have never been, but that we perfectly know.

When he reached the top of the tree, he arrived to an hanging city. In this city the roofs reached the vault of heaven, as in the tower of Babel. Who descends the abyss of Death and climbs up the tree of Life, gets to the city of Possible, where everything is admired and choices are made. Story of a sepulchre thief. From "The castle of crossed destinies" by Italo Calvino.

Nobody knows the end of the story of the man losing pieces of himself. Some say that the pieces, once lost, lay on the ground, blooming in strange blossoms. Some say that other people collects them like a present, spreading them endlessly. Another question then regards the man, who continues losing pieces. If these do not grow again, he will soon or later vanish, extinguishing himself in a cosmic invasion of pieces of himself. Someone thinks instead that the pieces will grow stronger in the man. These people are lying: the pain made them forget the loss and hold their pieces close. The dreamers think that the pieces will sooner or later come back to the man, becoming his memories. Some say they saw him passing by. He had a candid aspect. He was smiling.

A mand and a woman meet each other in a dream. They don't know each other and cannot touch, because an enormous empty space divides them. They try to speak, but they are mute. Every night they dream each other, and every day they wait for the night to see if they can communicate. One day they try to stop speaking when they are awake, to have words in their dreams. They start a game of theft, stealing themselves the same words they will use in their dream. But they speak two different languages and cannot understand each other. But, the words that they say, thoufh impossible to understand, become small threads, strings intertwining and connecting them in a thin but incredibly strong bond. Everyday they keep silent. and every night they speak without understanding each other, because they know that one day that bond will be strong enough to fill the empty space that divides them. And they will be able to hug each other, mute and happy, in an embrace that will five a meaning to all the words they said.

When does people really change? The ones you knew? The ones you thought you knew? Or the ones that you really know? That becomes older, wiser, uglier, prettier, funnier, more attractive, more humble, more coward. When does it happen? Someone told me that there is a red thread inside of us, that when you once know a person, you will always know him. That how much time ever passes, has passed, will pass you can always find yourself back to that red thread. So many people I have left behind, so many red threads laying loose somewhere, that are waiting to be picked up. And I wonder, did you change, are you still the same, are we still as we were? Can I still find the red thread inside of you?
